Victoria jo stinnett1/13/2024 As soon as Bobbie’s back was turned, she seized a pink neon rope around her neck and began choking the life out of her. This would be proven to be a colossal mistake. When Lisa arrived and introduced herself with the alias Darlene Fischer, the 8-month pregnant woman happily welcomed the unfamiliar stranger into her home. Bobbie was already expecting a new customer that day–a ‘’Darlene Fischer’’ who expressed interest in looking at the terriers. Bobbie ran a dog-breeding business from her own home, and plenty of customers came in and out every week with a new puppy in their arms. On December 16, 2004, Lisa made the drive all the way to Bobbie’s home in Skidmore, Missouri. However, it’s also argued that she did not have this disorder, and some people believe that her ex-husband was going to take her to court and use her lies about pregnancy in order to get custody of their children, so Lisa needed to produce a child in order to keep her children. It’s argued that when she realized she wasn’t pregnant, she may have had felt like she had a miscarriage, and that’s what triggered her to commit the murder and kidnap the infant. It was also argued that she had pseudocyesis, which is the appearance of clinical or subclinical signs and symptoms associated with pregnancy, even though the woman is not actually pregnant. A neuropsychologist stated at her pre-trial hearing that she also had severe brain injuries from the years of beatings she endured, which damaged the part of her brain that controls aggression. Lisa also suffered with depression, borderline personality disorder, bi-polar disorder, psychosis, and post-traumatic stress disorder for years, and was often disassociated from reality. Bobbi’s body was found an hour later by her mother who called the police, but unfortunately the paramedics weren’t able to revive her, and she was pronounced dead at the hospital. When Bobbi answered the door, Lisa forced her way into her home and murdered Bobbi by strangulation, and then proceeded to surgically remove her baby from the womb, and taking off. Something snapped inside of Lisa’s brain, and she made arrangements under the false name “Darlene Fischer” to meet Bobbi at her home, as she was expecting potential buyers for her terrier at that time. Lisa falsely claimed to be pregnant multiple times after her procedure, according to both of her ex-husbands. However, Lisa’s pregnancy wasn’t real, and received a tubal ligation in 1990, after having four children. The two women talked often online in a Rat Terrier chatroom called “Ratter Tatter,” where they also discussed their pregnancies. The following morning, on the 16th of December, 2004, Lisa showed up at Bobbie’s door.īobbie Jo Stinnett and her husband ran a dog breeding business out of their home, and often attended dog show events, where she met 36 year-old, Lisa Marie Montgomery. And I do look forward to chatting with you tomorrow AM.” The two had arranged to meet at Bobbie’s house where Lisa said that she would be purchasing one of her dogs. The email from Bobbie read in part: “Great chatting with you on messenger. Lisa informed Bobbie that she too was expecting a baby and Bobbie sent her directions to her house. She posted a message for Bobbie which read: “Please get in touch with me soon as we are considering the purchase of one of your puppies.”īobbie replied to Lisa and the two swapped email addresses. Lisa contacted Bobbie via a rat terrier chat room. Bobbie had been a high-school cheerleader and an honours student who was in the process of building a placid nuclear life with her childhood sweetheart.īobbie’s website included a photograph of her which clearly showed that she was heavily pregnant. One afternoon while browsing the internet in late 2004, Lisa came across a website which was run by 23-year-old Bobbie Jo Stinnett, a dog breeder who sold dogs from her home in Skidmore, around 120 miles away from Melvern.
